Experience action in the Defense-Orientation Competition

The defense-orientation competition takes us back to the old days when we were required to participate in such competitions—often resulting in great fun. The activity requires average physical fitness.

During the program, you are guided by professional instructors from the armed and life-saving units of the Slovak Republic.

Program course

How will it proceed?

The program begins with an introduction of the instructors who will manage and organize the event and, at the end, evaluate the fulfillment of each task, emphasizing the performance of the best individuals and the teamwork of the group. The program lasts about 3–4 hours, with every participant trying out all the activities.

The story takes place in the birthplace of Juraj Jánošík. The group is divided into teams, who will complete individual tasks and compete with each other. At the start, there will be an explanation and demonstration of tasks at the various stations and basic information about terrain orientation. Every team will be equipped with a map.

Tasks at each station are scored, and at the end, a winning team and individual will be determined.

Competition activities

Passage through contaminated area = Gas mask + protective contamination suit
Grenade throw at target – strength and accuracy
Rappelling – traverse – physical ability
Shooting at the target with a slingshot – take out the enemy
Rescue and transport of injured – improvised stretcher
and other activities...

What will you learn?

Instructors oversee each station, evaluating group activity, communication, organizational skills of individuals, creativity, the initiative of individuals, sense of fair play, and dedication to the group and individuals.

The goal of the instructors is to create a pleasant, friendly atmosphere during every section of teambuilding and, of course, to assess and award essential points for the completion of each mission in order to determine the overall winner.
